Exciting Transitions Start New Year

As we celebrated the New Year at Cedar Lake Nursing Home, big changes were welcomed along with us into 2022.

Sonny Humble, who has been a licensed administrator for 42 years and served as such with Cedar Lake Nursing Home, is moving “upstairs” – well, across the breezeway – to the corporate side of Cedar Lake. He will be taking a vital role on the Board of Directors, focusing on community involvement as Cedar Lake strives to become more involved within the community, and vice versa. More on that to come in the future keep watching and reading.

Mary Jo Barrett-Spivey LVN, LNFA, BS, a 14-year veteran of Cedar Lake Nursing Home has been in various roles. She began her career with Cedar Lake, first as a Medicare Manager, then as Business Office Manager, while completing her administrator training under the supervision of Sonny Humble as her preceptor. During this time she served as an assistant administrator. All the while she would fill in for just about every job which presented a need. Mary Jo completed her administrator training this year and has received her administrator’s license. We are proud to announce she is now officially Cedar Lake Nursing Home’s new Administrator.

We love these two people and are so proud to see them both step up into their new challenges. It is going to be great.
